How to Choose Wig Length

Wig length is easiest to choose when you start with the finished silhouette rather than a number. Texture, curl pattern and where the hair is measured can change how long a style appears.

Start with where you want the hair to fall

Decide whether you want a bob, shoulder-length look, mid-back length or something longer, then use the retailer's measurement guidance.

Texture changes visible length

Curly and wavy hair can appear shorter than straight hair at the same measured length because the pattern takes up vertical distance.

Longer means more maintenance

Long styles can require more detangling and care, especially with textured hair. Choose a length you can realistically maintain.
