How to Choose a Wig Texture

Texture controls the visual character of a wig and changes how density, length and maintenance feel. Choose the pattern you want to wear most often rather than assuming you will completely restyle it every day.

Straight

Shows length clearly and can create a sleek silhouette. Density differences are also easy to see.

Body wave and loose wave

Offer softer movement and can bridge straight and more defined curl patterns.

Water wave and deep wave

Create more visible texture and volume. Moisture and detangling routines become more important.

Curly and kinky straight

Can provide substantial visual volume. Consider shrinkage, detangling and how often you want to redefine the pattern.

Make texture the anchor decision

Once you choose the pattern, select density and length around how that texture behaves.
