Wig Lace Types & Sizes: 4×4, 5×5, 9×6, 13×4, 13×6 & 360
Lace dimensions describe the approximate area available for parting or hairline styling. Larger numbers do not automatically mean a better wig; they mean a different construction.
4×4 and 5×5 closures
These smaller closure-style areas concentrate lace around the top/front. A 5×5 offers somewhat more parting space than a 4×4.
9×6
A wider and deeper lace area often used in wear-and-go or glueless-oriented products. Check the exact shape because retailer construction varies.
13×4 and 13×6 frontals
Both span broadly across the front. The deeper 13×6 format can create additional parting space compared with a 13×4 when the cap is constructed accordingly.
360 construction
Lace around the perimeter can enable more hairline exposure and up-style flexibility, but only when the exact wig and fit support the intended style.
Material still matters
Dimensions do not establish lace fineness, durability or color. Read the exact lace material description and examine close-up images.
