How to Care for a Human Hair Wig
Keep a human-hair wig manageable with gentle detangling, appropriate washing, conditioning, heat awareness and storage.
Detangle gently
Work in sections and avoid aggressive pulling, especially around lace and knots.
Wash when needed, not by a rigid calendar
Frequency depends on wear, styling products, environment and scalp conditions. Product buildup and tangling are more useful signals than an arbitrary number of days.
Condition the hair, protect the base
Use products suitable for the hair while avoiding heavy buildup around lace or knots unless the manufacturer says otherwise.
Limit unnecessary heat
Heat can alter or damage processed hair. Use appropriate tools, conservative temperatures and the product's own care guidance.
Store without crushing the style
Keep the wig clean, dry and protected from friction, direct heat and deformation.
